There has been a lot of buzz over who will serve as judges in this year’s Miss Universe pageant, especially after actress Marian Rivera confirmed she will be a judge at the 70th Miss Universe pageant in Eilat, Israel.
And it seems there’s reason to be excited. Rivera will be joined by a stellar company.
The Miss Universe Organization announced via its social media pages on Wed, Dec 8 the official members of the 70th Miss Universe selection committee.
Most notably, Miss Universe 2016 Iris Mittenaere is returning to the Miss Universe pageant as a judge.
Pageant followers already speculated that she would be part of the selection committee based on her Instagram story on Wed, Dec 8, where the French beauty queen posted a photo of an airplane's interiors.

Filipino fans may remember that Mittenaere was crowned Miss Universe 2016 in the Philippines on January 2017.
Another beauty queen, Miss Universe 2015 Urvashi Rautela is joining the selection committee. Model Lori Harvey, TV host Adamari Lopez, and supermodel Adriana Lima are also part of the panel of judges.
The selection committee will be part of the panel of judges for both the preliminary competition (the event that determines who will be semi-finalists) and the finals night.
Actress Rena Sofer is part of the finals selection committee, while TV host Cheslie Kryst and Miss Universe 1976 Rina Mor, Israel’s first Miss Universe winner, are part of the preliminary selection committee. – (Chuck Smith)
