Good news, sneakerheads! There's no need to go abroad to cop a pair of Golden Goose sneakers as the Italian luxury brand is coming to Manila.

Iza Arcilla, General Manager of Greenbelt, confirmed to PhilSTAR L!fe that Golden Goose is opening its first store in the country at Fashion Square in Greenbelt 5.

Greenbelt also announced that the brand's debut will be through a special pop-up titled "Fioreria Golden."

"At the heart of Fioreria Golden is the concept of ‘Fioreria,’ meaning ‘flower shop’ in Italian, which perfectly encapsulates this unique retail experience," it said.

The store will also feature a "Co-Creation" area where shoppers can personalize Golden Goose pieces.

The doors of the Golden Goose pop-up will open on Feb. 21, 11 a.m.

What is Golden Goose?

Golden Goose is a premium Italian label that started in 2000 offering sneakers and accessories. Its shoes, while known for having a signature beat-up look, are made of smooth Italian leather.

The distressed style and scuff marks are part of the brand's look and serve more than aesthetics.

"Each Golden Goose shoe is designed to be a one-of-a-kind piece that narrates a tale of distinctiveness, as well as fostering a genuine connection with its owner," the shoe maker's website read. "With every step, the wearer adds to the shoe's character  through their life experience, by making new memories."

A pair typically goes for $595 or P34,000 and can go up to $2,350 or P136,000.

The brand also offers designer jackets, blazers, bags, caps, belts, scented candles, and more.

These luxury shoes are a favorite among celebrities, with names like Iza Calzado, Toni Gonzaga, Vicki Belo, Isabel Oli Prats, and Kathryn Bernardo donning them.
