Reformulated for better protection

The product that proves this point is the Cetaphil Moisturising Lotion — a reformulated version of their famous line, now with new ingredients like glycerin (for the dryness), niacinamide (for strengthening the skin barrier), and panthenol (to soothe and restore dry skin).

For the dry skin type, the Cetaphil Moisturising Cream has an ultra-rich consistency to it, and is tested to accelerate the reparation of the skin. It rehydrates, maintains the hydration for 48 hours after a single application, and ultimately restores the skin barrier with complete recovery after one week.

To celebrate its newest innovation in an already iconic product, Cetaphil launched the Sensitive Skin Lab last Aug. 31 at the Maybank Performing Arts Theater in BGC. Hosted by Alexandra Rocha-Araneta, guests were given the chance to chat with dermatologist Dr. Coreen Copuyoc Sampedro to impart her knowledge on how Cetaphil’s ingredients are the best for everyone’s skin. Skin representatives from Cetaphil were also present in the event to assist the guests on what products they need by personally testing their skins with a topical device that determines its moisture levels numerically.

“We are backed with clinical science and research […] Our products are dermatologist-tested. Those are the things that we put on for us to be able to meet the customers, for our shoppers to choose us,” Jade Silva-netto Ponoc; Business Unit Head of Galderma said, adding that their clinical research on niacinamide, the best ingredient for sensitive skin, is the new standard for their reformulated line. And being in a tropical country like the Philippines, of course customers would always gun for products that are lightweight, which Cetaphil offers in particular products.

Abe Mationg, Cetaphil Brand Manager, also mentioned that what they strive for is to provide a skincare line that holistically takes care of the skin both inside and out, and to be the leading and most trusted skincare line that people with varying skin types can trust.

The makeshift lab served as an educational event to further spread the information about what products should be used to target specific skin issues wherein attendees were encouraged to learn why having healthy skin is the key to a healthier lifestyle and mindset.
