Rhian Ramos shares her secrets to beauty and transformation
Many people strive for flawless, radiant skin as their primary beauty want. However, Filipina actress and model Rhian Ramos, who was recently named the first local beauty ambassador of Y.O.U Beauty, following global ambassador Kim Soo Hyun, said that beauty is more than just physical attributes.
Despite enduring beauty standards and the pressure to conform, Rhian has garnered admiration for her timeless elegance and grace, effortlessly adapting to an ever-evolving beauty landscape while staying true to her authentic self.
"I believe that beauty is completely subjective and just like art, it can be found through how it makes us feel," the actress told PhilSTAR L!fe.
"That's why to me, beauty can only be defined by me, how it serves me, and its functionality to every look I want to achieve and everything I need to do," she added.
Beauty as a transformative power
Rhian said that knowing herself and having "no care" about what others have to say is her ultimate secret in making herself confident and radiant inside and out.
"I have never responded well to being dictated upon, it's one of my quirks that I've learned to love. I remind myself that we are all different, and how on the same day someone can tell me I need to have work done, and another will compliment that same aspect or body part. This is how I know that at the end of the day, only my opinion of myself will matter."
Beauty comes along with loving yourself
Cliche as it may sound, one must need to love oneself even more than others can do. Rhian does this by listening to what her face and body need and addressing it.
"I eat when I'm hungry, I rest when I'm tired. I make time for activities that may not seem important to anyone else other than me. I forgive myself for what others may view as imperfections or mistakes. I remind myself that I did the best that I could do at the time," she said.
The actress continued, "Every person has a vested interest, but no one can take care of ourselves better than us."
