LOOK: Here's what Love, Bonito's first Philippine store in Makati will look like
Attention, Pinoy fashion enthusiasts! After five years of shipping to the Philippines, Singaporean fashion label Love, Bonito is officially opening its first physical store in the country.
The inaugural store, which will be located in Greenbelt 3, Makati City, will feature the brand's newly unveiled identity and revamped assortment strategy following its recent rebranding.
In addition to browsing the fashion pieces at the brick-and-mortar store, shoppers can also join workshops, styling sessions, and community events.
As of writing, the exact opening date of Love, Bonito's Greenbelt store has yet to be announced.
First-ever capsule collection
This May, Love, Bonito is set to unveil its first capsule collection which is inspired by the ancient Chinese philosophy of yin yang as it embraces the interdependence of complementary opposites and combines masculine and feminine styles as well as light and dark hues.
The upcoming Yin Yang collection is flexible and can suit any occasion. Some of the pieces include a padded floral peplum camisole top, denim straight-leg Jeans, tailored straight-leg pants, and a cotton trapeze maxi dress, among others.
Starting Monday, April 29, the collection goes live on the brand's official website.
Last March, CEO Dione Song announced that Love, Bonito will have its first brick-and-mortar store in Manila in mid-2024 during the rebrand launch attended by PhilSTAR L!fe in Singapore.
Rachel Lim, the co-founder of Love, Bonito, shared why they decided to bring the label permanently to the country.
"We are excited to finally come to Manila. And I think it's been a long time coming," she told L!fe.
"The Philippines has a very special place in our hearts, that's why we always try to go as much as we can to be with the community as well. And I think also, through pop-ups, we realized that 'Wow, there is really such an encouraging response from the community in the Philippines!' So, we decided we're gonna take the leap of faith to open up and to serve our customers in the Philippines," Rachel continued.
