Miss Universe Philippines 2021 Beatrice Gomez is making use of her time in quarantine by sending love to her family, friends, pageant team, and supporters after her successful stint at the 70th Miss Universe.

In a series of Instagram posts, Gomez said competing in the Miss Universe pageant taught her “a lot especially about myself,” noting that it took “sleepless nights, unending hours of work, dedication, and sacrifice.”

“I am very fortunate to have a very strong and patient team with me that rallied since Day 1. I wouldn't have been able to power through this journey without their help and guidance.  The same goes with my supporters, family, friends, and even those who didn't believe I could make it,” Gomez added.

The beauty queen said her pageant team, supporters, family, friends, and even those who didn't believe in her, gave her the “strength and perseverance to go through the toughest of challenges during my time in the Philippines all the way to Israel.”

Gomez also sent her love to the Miss Universe Philippines organization, fashion designers, style team, hair and make-up teams, and training camps who worked “tirelessly and have always been beside me throughout My Miss Universe journey through thick and thin.”

“It takes a village to build a strong queen and I wouldn’t have made it through as a Top 5 Finalist at this year’s Miss Universe competition without the creativity and skills of the people behind my every look,” Gomez added.

Gomez finished her Miss Universe journey in the Top 5. Harnaaz Sandhu of India was crowned as Miss Universe 2021 in Eliat, Israel.

The Miss Universe Philippines organization previously announced that Gomez’s post-pageant activities will be postponed since she will immediately return home to her family in Cebu City following the onslaught of Typhoon Odette.
