The Conrad celebrates 10 years with inspired beginnings

The Conrad Hotel recently celebrated its 10th anniversary with its annual bridal showcase, Inspired Beginnings, truly an inspiring way to plan a new life for couples and highlight some of the very best of our fashion designers and styling experts. Held in collaboration with Kuchie Zaldarriaga of Getting Married Wedding Coordinators, the three-day event awed guests with the visual spectacle of Tablescapes Through Time, where eight stylists created settings inspired by iconic historical eras. Imaginative and stunning with an extravagant use of fresh flowers, any of those settings would send off new couples on the adventure of a lifetime.

Day 1 of Inspired Beginnings was capped with a show featuring the all-white Harvest collection of Furne Amato, where his intricate detailing, impeccable craftsmanship, and avant-garde silhouettes were presented against Randy Lazaro’s barn-inspired setting. Rustic elegance was fused with contemporary romance in the collection of this world-famous designer.

Day 2’s fashion show featured nine designers, bringing the total of featured designers to 10. Ryan Ablaza Unson showed cinematic ensembles that reimagined pre-nuptial shoots as red carpet affairs. Joe San Antonio and Manny Halasan created pieces for the traditional Ting Hun or formal engagement ceremony with culturally rich interpretations. Vee Tan and Michael Chiu Rosero provided elevated elegance for the entourage and after-party. Andrea Tetangco and Pablo Mendez offered refined sophistication for bridesmaids and groomsmen, while Jazel Sy and Ehrran Montoya transformed sponsor wear into elevated expressions of prestige and honor.

Displayed throughout the Taft Ballroom, Tablescapes Through Time had FJ Sionson creating a setting of Victorian romance. Kathy St King focused on the Edwardian era of elegance and refinement. Dave Sandoval brought forth the boldness of Art Deco, while Drew Manor was inspired by Old Hollywood. Jaqs Floral contrasted with the minimalism and clean lines of Mid-Century. Il Fiore went free-spirited with Bohemian charm. Randy Lazaro reimagined the grandeur of the Renaissance, and Tiger Lim showed off the opulence of the Rococo period.
