The Binibining Pilipinas 2026 National Costume Competition last Thursday was a celebration of the Philippines' rich biodiversity and cultural heritage.

This year, the 35 delegates showcased intricately detailed creations that drew inspiration from the country's diverse flora and fauna.

Before the evening ended was the announcement of the Top 10 finalists, whose costumes best captured the unique natural treasures of their respective hometowns and provinces. They are:

  • Aklan – Pauline Thea Ibuyan
  • Antique – Britney Angel Rubino
  • Tanza, Cavite – Mylene Manschus
  • Tarlac Province – Sasha Lacuna
  • San Jose, Occidental Mindoro – Ain Niqyla Abad
  • Pampanga – Anne Klein Castro
  • Dasmariñas, Cavite – Samantha Zabarte
  • Bicol Region – Iris Oresca
  • Cavite Province – Kaye Pastelero
  • Iloilo – Patricia Lyn Beerda

Several of the standout Top 10 designs highlighted local delicacies and unique wildlife. Representing Aklan, Ibuyan wowed the crowd with a costume inspired by a crab, paying homage to her province's renown as a hub for mangrove mud crabs. Meanwhile, Manschus of Tanza, Cavite, brought the Hipong Urong to life—a local shrimp species found in abundance in her hometown.

On the other hand, Pampanga’s Castro reimagined a famous Kapampangan delicacy with her Tugak Marangle (also known as Betute or stuffed frog) costume, while Zabarte of Dasmariñas, Cavite, added a burst of color to the stage with a huge and vibrant butterfly design inspired by her city's famous Paru-Paro Festival.

Binibining Pilipinas also announced that fans can vote for their favorite costume from the Top 10 on Facebook. The five delegates with the highest number of combined reactions and public shares will be announced during the Grand Coronation Night.
