Wow! Samantha Panlilio dazzles with Paruparo Festival-inspired national costume at Miss Grand International 2021

December is beauty pageant season, and the Philippines has three girls competing in major international pageants this month. Definitely, all eyes are on them are the country’s won two international crowns in recent months: Maureen Montage in Miss Globe and Cindy Obenita in Miss Intercontinental.

First up is Samantha Panlilio, who competed in the national costume competition of the Miss Grand International pageant on Tuesday, Nov 30.

Panlilio impressed fans and audiences with her Paru-Paro Festival inspired national costume—an intricately beaded white and gold bodysuit with matching gold headdress and gladiator boots, and the piece de resistance: a pair of oversized diaphanous butterfly wings.

Last week, Panlilio competed in the pageant's swimsuit competition. She was named one of the contest's "best in swimsuit" finalists.

Panlilio is aiming to become the country's first Miss Grand International titleholder. The coronation night will happen in Thailand on Saturday, Dec 4.

Meanwhile, Beatrice Luigi Gomez is competing in the 70th Miss Universe pageant on Dec 12 in Israel (Dec 13, Philippine time). Tracy Perez is in Puerto Rico for the Miss World 2021 pageant.- (Chuck Smith)
