ICYMI, adidas has created the Philippine Women's National Football Team's uniform kits for the upcoming Women's World Cup. In doing so, the sports brand has made "women-specific" products that athletes can wear at the tournament.

“Football can be very physically demanding,” Claudia Scholl, Senior Product Manager at adidas, said. “So correctly fitting product is essential… This is an essential part of removing barriers to the sport uniquely faced by women – and just one of the ways we want to create pathways to sport at every level.” 

Teams will get 1:1 fittings to analyze the individual shape and physical sporting demand that will ensure comfort. Players will receive a sports bra solution with adidas’ most technical bras. Meanwhile, the period support performance short will be available in on-pitch federation base layers. The shorts are designed to feature adidas’ FlowShield Technology, created to give an extra layer of protection against leaks.

adidas will have ten federations in total competing at this year's tournament, including Argentina, Colombia, Costa Rica, Germany, Jamaica, Italy, Japan, the Philippines, Spain, and Sweden.

K-pop girl group IVE has been selected by global sports brand PUMA as its ambassador in Asia-Pacific, with various brand campaigns and events lined up in the future in hopes to communicate with fans and reach the global market.
