Who will be the next Mutya Ng Pilipinas 2024 title holders?

The Mutya ng Pilipinas organization on Monday, August 26, revealed the stunning headshots of the 31 official candidates for this year's competition.

This came after a press presentation at the Fairmont Hotel in Makati was held on Saturday, August 24, where the local pageant offered a first look at the delegates wearing sultry pink metallic one-piece swimsuits.

Shot under the direction of Brian Ordonez and Jed Velasco, the candidates look stunning in their official headshot while wearing Boho Manila accessories.

According to Cory Quirino, the Mutya ng Pilipinas president, this year's competition "marks the beginning of a platform for women that expands its role in society while embracing sustainability and inclusivity."

Likewise, she underscored that apart from physical beauty, they are also looking for intelligence and heart in the future title holders of the national pageant.

“Siyempre dapat hindi lang maganda kundi matalino at siyempre [dapat] nararamdaman mo at nakikita mo ang kanyang puso kapag nagsasalita siya,” said Quirino in the press conference, adding that its the pageant tradition to include representatives from Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) communities across the globe.

“Yung tradition sa'min sa Mutya ng Pilipinas ay magkaroon ng representasyon galing sa OFW communities all over the world. ‘Yan po ang aming layunin na all Filipinas are united.”

This year's coronation night will be held on September 6 at the FilOil Arena in San Juan, where 31 candidates will vie for nine titles, including Miss Intercontinental, Miss Tourism International, and the World Top Model competition, among others.
