"Simple lang, pero ang saya": Bea Alonzo shares how she recharges and unwinds

Published Oct 05, 2021 1:59 pm

Celebrities have very little privacy and very hectic schedules. Just look at Bea Alonzo, who is working on a film with Alden Richards and the Filipino-Hollywood film Angel Warrior. She also attends endorsement shoots and interviews here and there. Not to mention, she also manages her farm in Zambales. But like anyone else, stress, long hours of work, and lack of restful sleep are all hindering her road to wellness.

With her back-to-back guestings and TV appearances, we just had to ask the award-winning actress: How do you take your time to unwind?

"I usually just watch," she told PhilSTAR L!fe during a roundtable Q&A for Lazada. "I also read books to escape."

"But my ultimate refuge talaga is going to the farm, my mom’s farm in Zambales. When I go there I feel recharged, I feel rejuvenated, as in relaxed lang ako doon," Alonzo said.

In one of her posts, Alonzo even mentioned that "there's always something fun to do" in Zambales such as swimming in the river. "Simple lang, pero ang saya!"

"These are the moments I live for. The time that this pandemic allowed us to have to be able to spend time with the people we love is what I am most thankful for," she added in her post.

As a reminder to anyone who is going through hard times, Alonzo shared an uplifting post that says: "If you’re going through tough times, and it feels like things aren't going right, I want to remind you to trust that things will be alright."

She added: "Eventually, everything is going to fall into place. Everything happens for a reason, and you may not see it now, but I know someday, you will. Kaya mo yan, at wag kalilimutang magdasal."
