Want to hone your speaking skills? UP Diliman to hold speech workshops this June
If you've ever thought, "I wish I knew how to do this better," when it comes to public speaking, the University of the Philippines Diliman's speech workshops this June are your answer.
The "Speak UP Workshop," managed by the university's Department of Speech Communication and Theatre Arts, will be divided into four programs to cater to a variety of audiences: Storytelling and Performance for Kids (ages 5 to 8), Basic Public Speaking for Tweens (ages 9 to 12), Advanced Public Speaking and Argumentation (ages 13 to 17), and Effective Communication for Professionals.
The workshop for kids, tweens, and teens will have ten two-hour sessions held from Mondays to Fridays from June 2 to 13. The workshop geared for professionals will meanwhile be conducted in four parts on June 14 and 21, which fall on a Saturday.

The classes will be led by DSCTA faculty members and will be conducted in a face-to-face setup at Pavilion 1, Palma Hall of the UP Diliman campus.
Each program can only accommodate 15 students to ensure an optimal learning experience, so be sure to register through this link quickly before you run out of seats.
The registration fee is priced at P7,000 for kids and tweens, and P8,000 for teens and professionals. It is already inclusive of a workshop kit and a certificate.
If you're a little short on cash, then you may want to take up the department's offer of an early bird discount amounting to P1,000 for all sign-ups made until April 15.
