LOOK: Jess Wilson and Moritz Gastl’s breathtaking, intimate wedding in Palawan

It may be a few days since Jess Wilson tied the knot with Moritz Gastl in Palawan, but we still can’t over their gorgeous beach wedding!

“After 2 delayed weddings, a pandemic and a few new family babies born in between, what felt like forever away when planning has now crept up on us out of nowhere and it’s finally our turn to get married,” Wilson wrote on Instagram.

The Sunnies Face co-founder wed her long-time boyfriend in an intimate wedding at Sunlight Ecotourism Island Resort in Palawan last June 26.

Wilson wore a vintage-inspired fringed terno with detachable column skirt by Vania Romoff, while her hubby dressed up in a Joey Samson Barong Tagalog. Makeup artist Robbie Pinera created a dewy, bronzed look on the bride, and hairstylist Paul Nebres fixed her hair into soft beachy waves.

With only a few months to prepare and a few hiccups here and there (they were supposed to get married in Salzburg, Austria late last year), Wilson was able to pull off a beautiful intimate wedding with the help of events planner Amanda Tirol and celebrity events designer Gideon Hermosa.

Hermosa transformed the area where the couple exchanged their “I Dos” into a breathtaking beachfront setup. The aisle where Wilson walked down was adorned with gypsophilas or baby’s breath flowers leading up to the seaside.

Ritzo has always been my strength and my equal, and me his.

Unlike conventional weddings, Wilson walked down the aisle hand-in-hand with her husband-to-be, holding a bouquet of chamomile flowers, which signified growth against all odds.

“We walked down together for a few reasons. One because we wanted to keep the special solo walk for the church next year, but also because Ritzo has always been my strength and my equal, and me his, and wanted to symbolize that in our little ceremony,” she wrote on her Instagram stories.

Wilson’s brother-in-law Arthur Burnand officiated the wedding as they exchanged their vows as they “wanted to keep it as personal as possible.”

They ended the matrimonial ceremony by walking down the aisle together to Nina Simone’s Feeling Good. “It really captured the emotion of this special moment we've waited so long for,” Wilson said.

At the reception, guests were welcomed by a breathtaking long dinner table on the beach, filled with Christmas lights that mimicked a “bed of stars.”

They partied to the tunes of Sam Wilson, the bride's brother, and The Naughty Pandas.

Present at the wedding were Georgina WIlson, Solenn Heussaff, Anne Curtis, and Gloria Diaz among others.

Congratulations and best wishes to The Gastls!
