Dreams don't turn to dust, electronic act Owl City sings. For Filipino actress Maine Mendoza, who originally wanted to be a flight attendant, it's never too late to make that pre-showbiz dream realized.

In an Instagram post on Monday, April 10, the TV host shared that she's taking a flight attendant training course, which will be featured in the third season of her lifestyle show Maine Goals.

"The path I was supposed to take 8 years ago. My teenage self would be so happy," she said, as she shared photos of her in uniform.

She also shared a nameplate bearing her name with the title "Flight Attendant."

Before entering showbiz, Mendoza took up hotel and restaurant management at De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde.

In a May 2017 interview with a magazine publication, however, she said her college course was "never" her passion, noting there was a point in her life when she didn't know what she wanted.

Mendoza became an internet sensation in 2015 with her comic entries on video sharing service Dubsmash, where she became known as "Yaya Dub."

Her Dubsmash fame caught the attention of GMA Network, which then included her in its noontime variety show Eat Bulaga.

Mendoza portrayed her persona in the romantic comedy sketch Kalyeserye, and was paired with Alden Richards. Their love team "AlDub" quickly became a hit among legions of fans.

Following the AlDub craze, Mendoza appeared in several TV shows, including Princess in the Palace, Vampire Ang Daddy Ko, Sunday PinaSaya, and Destined to be Yours. She and Richards also starred in My Bebe Love, an entry at the 2015 Metro Manila Film Festival.
