Lily Collins marries Charlie McDowell in a 'fairytale' wedding in Colorado
Lily Collins and Charlie McDowell are married!
The Emily in Paris star recently got married to the director this Labor Day weekend in Dutton Hot Springs, Colorado, and she has "never been happier." She wore a long-sleeved lace gown with a hooded cape by Ralph Lauren and jewelry by Irene Neuwirth Jewelry.
“What started as a fairytale, is now my forever reality. I’ll never be able to properly describe how otherworldly this past weekend was, but magical is a pretty good place to start…” Collins wrote in an Instagram post.
“I’ve never wanted to be someone’s someone more than I do yours, and now I get to be your wife. On September 4th, 2021 we officially became each other’s forever. I love you beyond @charliemcdowell,” the actress wrote on another.
McDowell shared the same photo, calling his wife "the most generous, thoughtful, and beautiful person I’ve ever known."
Collins previously announced her engagement in September 2020, posting a picture of a rose-cut bezel ring.
"I’ve been waiting my lifetime for you and I can’t wait to spend our lifetime together..." she said in the announcement.
In one interview with L'Officiel magazine, the 31-year-old actress shared that the quarantine "solidified" their relationship.
“Everyone has very much been who they are these last few months, because there aren’t any external distractions.” She added: “When you’ve seen someone at their best and at their worst and you’re still right there with them, that’s a beautiful thing.”
