Taguig police have arrested a man with the same name as the late former President Ferdinand Marcos and his namesake, current President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. for alleged indecent assault.

The 23-year-old British-Filipino individual was identified as Ferdinand Marcos. He was arrested at a Bonifacio Global City bar for alleged acts of lasciviousness at around 3:20 a.m. on April 30.

The police reported that the suspect was inside the bar "having a party." The trouble started when he suddenly kissed 19-year-old Denise, tried to invite 23-year-old Queenie for sex, and touched the breast of 19-year-old Raca.

This prompted the women to report the harassment to their friends as well as the reporting officers who immediately arrested the suspect.

The police are preparing complaints against Marcos, who has since been detained at the Taguig City Hall.

Acts of lasciviousness are punished under Article 336 of the Revised Penal Code.

According to the popular law blog Batas for Every Juan created by lawyer John Angel Bautista, acts of lasciviousness involve a person making physical contact with another person to fulfill their sexual desires without forced intercourse or rape.

"Masasabing ang ginawa ng isang tao ay act of lasciviousness kung idinampi nito ang kanyang katawan sa katawan ng isa pang tao para mapunan ang sekswal nitong pagnanasa ngunit walang naganap na pwersahang pakikipagtalik o rape. Kasama rito ang malaswang paghawak sa maseselang bahagi ng isang tao," Batas for Every Juan posted.
