The promise of tomorrow
For Filipinos, the most important promises are rarely made with fanfare.
They are found in the quiet decisions we make for the people we love: to protect a family’s way of life, prepare for a child’s education and health, be ready when uncertainty comes, build something for the years ahead and, eventually, leave something meaningful for the next generation.
For three decades, Pru Life UK has been part of those decisions.
Established in the Philippines in 1996, the company has grown alongside generations of Filipinos, evolving with their changing needs and aspirations.
Their 30th anniversary celebrates not only longevity, but what those three decades have made possible: Promises Made Real.
Today, Pru Life UK has a nationwide presence of more than 200 branches, business centers, and general agency offices, supported by close to 35,000 licensed agents. They serve nearly one million policyholders and insure close to two million lives.
This trust has also been recognized by the industry.
In 2026, Pru Life UK was named International Life Insurer of the Year—Philippines at the Insurance Asia Awards for the sixth consecutive year, extending a distinction it has received every year, from 2020 to 2026.
Protection for every chapter
Life changes, and with it, so do the things we need to protect.
For someone starting a career, protection may begin with taking that first step toward securing the future.
For young families, it can mean protecting income, preparing for a child’s education and health, and having a plan for the unexpected.
As families become more established, the conversation can shift toward growing wealth. Investment-linked, savings, and wealth-building solutions can help customers pursue financial goals while staying protected.
For those approaching retirement, the focus turns to long-term financial security and income continuity.
And for those thinking about what they will leave behind, legacy and wealth-transfer solutions can help protect loved ones and create lasting impact across generations.
Protection becomes part of a larger life story, not simply preparing for what could go wrong.
It becomes about making room for what people hope will go right.
Making protection more inclusive
As the needs of Filipinos evolve, so must access to protection.
Pru Life UK has continued to develop customer-centered solutions, digital tools, and inclusive products that help people plan, protect, and take action with greater confidence.
One example is PRUTerm Lindungi, a Takaful solution that broadens access to protection and reflects Pru Life UK’s commitment to serving more communities.
Financial education is another part of that work. Through initiatives such as Cha-Ching, Pru Life UK helps young people develop practical financial knowledge early in life.
The company’s pilot Adopt-a-Madrasah program in Davao similarly reflects this wider commitment.
Students from the Muslim Filipino community came together through the program designed to support their community. Adopt-a-Madrasah demonstrated how protection can extend beyond a policy and into the places where people learn, grow, and build their futures.
As Pru Life UK President and CEO Sanjay Chakrabarty has emphasized, inclusive and values-driven protection solutions have an important role to play in helping close the country’s protection gap.
A healthier idea of protection
There is also a more immediate side to preparing for the future: taking care of the life we are living now.
Pru Life UK brought this idea to life through the PRU POP Run, its 30th anniversary celebration connecting protection with wellness, community, and Filipino pop culture.
Held in Makati City and Bonifacio Global City, the event reflected the company’s commitment to Filipinos’ health and financial well-being.
It is a fitting expression of protection today: preparing for uncertainty while encouraging healthier, more resilient communities.
Three decades and counting
No 30-year journey is built alone.
Pru Life UK’s story has been shaped by its customers, agents, employees, partners, communities, and other stakeholders who have shared in its growth and helped bring its purpose to life.
That collective journey will be celebrated at “Pearls of Gratitude,” Pru Life UK’s 30th anniversary gala.
“Pearls of Gratitude” will bring together approximately 500 guests, including business leaders, strategic partners, government representatives, members of the financial community, Prudential plc executives, agency leaders, and internal stakeholders.
The gathering honors three decades of trust, partnerships, and a shared commitment to Filipino families.
But an anniversary is ultimately less about looking back than looking forward.
The next generation will have new ambitions, challenges, and definitions of security. Their needs will continue to change.
What remains constant is the desire to protect the people and possibilities that matter most.
For 30 years, Pru Life UK has helped Filipinos turn that desire into action: supporting them through different chapters of life, making protection more accessible, and helping families prepare not only for tomorrow, but for generations to come.
Now, as it begins its next chapter, the promise continues.
Count on PRU.
