Man crashes car into Jennifer Aniston's property while she was at home
Police are looking into an incident where a man crashed a vehicle into the property of actress Jennifer Aniston while she was at home.
According to a report by Deadline, the 48-year-old suspect, identified to be Jimmy Wayne Carwyle, was arrested by authorities after he rammed the car he was driving into the front gate of Aniston's home in the residential neighborhood of Bel-Air, Los Angeles.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Inmate Information Center detailed that the crash occurred around noon at 12:30 p.m. However, the man didn't make it past the front gate before private security guards helped apprehend him.
TMZ reported that the guards held him at gunpoint until the cops came to take him into custody.
While police are still investigating the motive behind Carwyle's actions, he has now been put behind bars on suspicion of felony vandalism and is being held without bail.
Multiple news outlets reported that Aniston didn't suffer any injuries despite being at home when the apparent intrusion happened.
The Friends star bought the 3.4-acre lot for $21 million (P1.1 billion) back in 2012, per Architectural Digest.
"Aesthetically, it was the furthest thing from what I wanted, but I immediately had the sense that it could work," Aniston told the magazine.
"It’s hard to describe, but I felt a connection. I’m all about cozy. Sexy is important, but comfort is essential. Every corner you turn, you have an experience. Everywhere you look, you get a vista. We worked very hard to get that flow right," she added.
