GCash announced that it will have a scheduled system maintenance for all services for two hours in two days this week.
The mobile payments service said that the app "will be taking a break" from 2 a.m. to 4 a.m. on Oct. 22 Tuesday and Oct. 24 Thursday.
"Please plan your transactions ahead to avoid any inconvenience," it said on Facebook.
In July, GCash experienced a technical issue that caused some users to lose access to their accounts. These users were unable to reinstall the app after uninstalling it. The problem was resolved the next day.
In other news, GCash is celebrating its 20th anniversary serving approximately 94 million users.
The company started as an online payment channel but has since expanded its offerings to include savings, investments, and loans. GCash has also extended its services to overseas Filipinos, allowing them to send money using international SIM cards.
