LIST: Road repairs happening in Metro Manila over Holy Week
Make sure to plan your trips ahead, motorists! Road repair works are happening in Metro Manila this Holy Week.
The Department of Public Works and Highways said that the repairs will be done in Las Piñas, Muntinlupa, Manila, Pasig, Valenzuela, and Quezon City.
"Bukod sa paglalapat ng aspalto, kabilang sa mga repairs na isasagawa ang sidewalk improvement, expansion joint, pagpintura ng mga concrete railing, waterproofing, paggawa ng bridge at link slab, at iba pang rehabilitation works upang matiyak ang kaligtasan ng mga motorista sa kalsada," the agency wrote in a public advisory.
It also stated that there will be a temporary partial closure of some roads, so motorists are encouraged to take alternate routes.
Here are the areas to undergo repair and the schedule of work.
- EDSA southbound (Magallanes flyover) - asphalt overlay and expansion joint - April 1 to 6, 24/7 repairs
- EDSA Orense Street to Buendia Avenue - sidewalk improvement - April 1 to 6
- Rosario Bridge along Ortigas Ave. - asphalt overlay, waterproofing - April 2, 12 a.m. to April 7, 5 a.m.
- MacArthur Highway, Brgy. Karuhatan - rehabilitation/reconstruction/upgrading of damaged paved roads - March 30 to April 6
- E. Rodriguez Sr. Ave (Mariable Bridge to G. Araneta Ave.) - excavation, laying of HDPE pipe elbow, concreting - April 1 to 6
- G. Araneta Ave. (northbound) near E. Rodriguez Sr. - excavation, laying of HDPE pipe elbow, concreting - April 1 to 6
- San Juan Bridge (northbound) along G. Araneta Ave. - painting of concrete railing - April 1 to 2
- Lambingan Bridge along Aurora Blvd. - retrofitting - March 30 to April 1
- Almirante Creek, Las Piñas City - construction of bridge and link slab - March 30 to April 1
- Alabang-Muntinlupa Rd., Muntinlupa City - raising of manholes - March 30 to April 5
- P. Quirino Bridge along Pres. Quirino Ave. - expansion joint - April 1 to 6
