If you’re looking to skip the usual roses, chocolates, and dinner reservations, we’ve rounded up a variety of fun and meaningful date ideas for you to try. From concerts and creative experiences to shopping sprees and fun runs, there’s something for everyone. Read on.

Tickets are priced at P3,800 (Bronze), P5,800 (Silver), P8,500 (Gold), P11,000 (VIP), and P13,500 (SVIP). You may secure them via Ticketworld outlets and online, as well as at Newport World Resorts Box Office.

Galentine's card-making workshop at Anko

CLOSE

For the love month, Anko, an Australian home and lifestyle brand, is hosting a Galentine’s card-making workshop at Anko TriNoma on Feb. 14 at 4 p.m., plus a special Arrange Your Own Bouquet session.

Plus, Anko Club members can get exclusive perks. If you shop from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and reach a minimum spend of P500, you can avail of free candle calligraphy to personalize your Anko candles.

Moonlit Symphonies at Masungi

Escape the bustling streets of the Metro and have a quiet date night at Masungi Georeserve in Rizal. They are holding Moonlit Symphonies, offering an intimate, four-hour immersion in nature.

The evening unfolds in three stages that guide you along the trails. It begins with a sunset city view accompanied by an intimate trio performing a mix of contemporary hits and timeless classics.

As night falls, guests gather in a pine grove for a shared dinner, which is co-curated by Trining’s Kitchen Stories, whose cooking is deeply inspired by memories of home and Filipino culinary nostalgia. It is inspired by the rich food culture of the Rizal–Quezon–Laguna corridor.

The experience runs from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at P4,800 per guest, inclusive of a full meal and the evening's performances. All the proceeds go straight to Masungi’s reforestation and conservation work.

Other dates available than Valentine's Day are Feb. 17, Tuesday; Feb. 21, Saturday; Feb. 28, Saturday. Register here.

PAWS FURst date

If roses and chocolates aren’t your thing, why not go on a date with some cute, furry friends? The Philippine Animal Welfare Society is hosting its annual FURst Date, giving you the chance to spend time with—and shower much-needed love on—rescued animals.

There are three ways to join the FURst Date experience. First, you can visit the PAWS Shelter along Aurora Boulevard corner Katipunan Avenue in Quezon City, and enjoy a 30-minute date with a rescued animal for P750. This in-person option is available from February 13 to 15.

If you’re too far from the shelter, you can still bond with the rescues through a Zoom date on Feb. 9 and 10 for P500.

And if you can’t make it on any of the scheduled dates but still want to help, you can sponsor a date in any amount, which will benefit the volunteers and the rescued animals. Book your FURst date here.

Battle of Manila memorial walk in Binondo

For a unique date, join the Battle of Manila memorial walk in Binondo on Feb. 1, which also commemorates the 81st anniversary of the historical event.

Guests will trace back to the 1945 timeline, visiting buildings and streets that saw fire, massacre, and systematic destruction. This initiative is brought by the Nilad Community, as part of its commitment to deepen public awareness of the city’s history and heritage preservation. The tour will be from 3 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

The ticket costs P1,000 per guest, inclusive of a guided tour by Kenny Tai and Anson Yu, as well as the Battle of Manila Commemoration Stamp Book, which has an illustrated strip of notable sites destroyed during World War II. (Here's a tip: You can collect stamps on every walk!)

If you want to complete the whole tour, the memorial walks in Malate, Intramuros, and Ermita are happening on Feb. 21, 22, and 28, respectively, with Xiao Chua, Diego Torres, Andrei Julian, and Anne Julian serving as tour guides.

Registration per walk closes on Thursdays at 12:00 noon, or until slots are full. Book your slot here
