Quezon City is set to hold a commitment ceremony for LGBTQ+ couples on Feb. 14.

The local government unit announced the upcoming event on Jan. 19, writing, "Dito sa QC, love always wins!"

Couples interested in joining must fill out a registration form and have a QCitizen ID. They must also be 18 years old and above.

Interested QCitizens can also reach out to Mx. Jhelai Pasco of the QC Gender and Development Council Office at 8988-4242 loc. 8732 or 8739. They can register until Jan. 30.

The ceremony will be held at the M.I.C.E. Center at the Quezon City Hall Compound.

QC has held four commitment ceremonies for LGBTQ+ couples. As of May 2025, 915 couples have exchanged vows since 2020.

To get a QCitizen ID, one must register and log in to QC e-services, choose and click ID eApplication, and fill out the form.

Apart from commitment ceremonies, the QC government's initiatives for LGBTQ+ couples include the launch of the country's first Right to Care card, which allows resident queer couples to make medical decisions for their partners.

A bill seeking to replicate the Right to Care system has been passed in the House of Representatives.

Meanwhile, QC is also organizing a Kasalang Bayan for resident couples from Feb. 12 to 15.

Requirements include a photocopy of their birth certificate, a photocopy of their QCitizen ID, marriage license forms, and a pair of witnesses. Interested couples must be 18 years old and above.

The deadline for registration for the community wedding is also on Jan. 30.
