Weekend Hangs: Anik-anik market, workshops, exhibit, and more events happening this Jan. 30 to Feb. 1
The first month of 2026 is finally over! Any plans for the last weekend of the month?
This coming weekend, the Metro is buzzing with events—from a collector’s convention and a bazaar full of cute anik-aniks, to hands-on workshops and a live concert.
Whatever you’re into, here are some weekend events worth checking out.
Jan. 30 to 31: Philippine International Cards and Collectibles Convention

Got any Pokémon or NBA cards? How about One Piece trading cards? You can bring those and meet fellow collectors and traders at the Philippine International Cards and Collectibles Convention, which is happening until Saturday at SMX Convention Center in SM Aura.
Explore rare exhibits, join the bustling trade fair, or compete in live tournaments. Attendees can also engage in live box breaks and community programs tailored to every level of interest.

Jan. 30 to Feb. 1: Anik-Anik Museum Market

You can never have too much anik-anik. Get more small items at the Anik-Anik Museum, which runs until Feb. 1, at the North Arcade of SM Mall of Asia.
Some items you can expect are dainty jewels, personalized keychains, photo strips, mini toys, and more. There's also coffee, shawarma, baked goodies, and savory snacks you can munch on after strolling around.
The bazaar is open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Admission is free.
Jan. 31: John en Marsha exhibit

Fan of the classic Pinoy series John en Marsha? Take a trip to the past and enjoy the Magsumikap Ka! pop-up exhibit featuring the beloved sitcom, happening on Saturday, Jan. 31, from 8 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. at Teatro Fort Santiago in Intramuros.
The exhibit features a collection of rare memorabilia from the series, including posters, lobby photos, vintage publications, official home video releases, and more.
Ventriloquist Wanlu and his Dolphy puppet will also perform at noon. There will also be an exclusive talkback session with surviving guest stars of the series.
The event will screen three lost and rare episodes starting at 1 p.m. with a replay at 6 p.m. John en Marsha starred Dolphy—dubbed Pinoy’s “King of Comedy”—and Nida Blanca, and aired from 1973 to 1978.
Visitors only need to pay Fort Santiago’s entrance fee to view the exhibit. The regular rate is P75, while a discounted rate of P50 applies to students, senior citizens, and persons with disabilities.
Jan. 31: Studiom's Soap-making class
Jan. 31: STUDIOM's Mario Kart Tournament
Feeling crafty? Check out the cold process soap-making workshop at STUDIOM this Jan. 31, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
In the hands-on workshop, participants will learn safe techniques and the creative science of transforming natural oils into beautiful, skin-nourishing bars using their own recipe.

Put your Mario Kart skills to the test and join a tournament at STUDIOM this Jan. 31, 6 p.m.
The event is open to ages 15 and above. Registration fee is P1,000, inclusive of snacks and board games. Winning players will receive a P1,000 voucher applicable to any activities at Studiom. Book your slot here.

Feb. 1: Men I Trust concert

Have a chill night and jam along to Show Me How, Numb, and other hits from the three-piece band Men I Trust in their upcoming "Equus" show at The Filinvest Tent, Alabang.
All tickets are priced at P4,450. The event is a one-section, standing room only. Children aged three and below can enter the event for free. Those aged four to 17 must be ticketed and accompanied by a ticket-bearing parent or guardian, following a maximum ratio of one adult to two minors.
They will have fitterkarma, known for their songs Pag-Ibig Ay Kanibalismo II and Sumpa, as the front act. Get your tickets here.
