UP, Ateneo, 33 more PH schools make it to 2026 QS Asia University rankings
A total of 35 universities in the Philippines are part of the 2026 Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) Asia University Rankings.
This year, 1,526 universities made it on the list—the largest yet—with 557 new entries and a total of 25 locations represented.
Leading the pack for the Philippines is the University of the Philippines in 104th place, with an overall score of 67.3. Following in 141st rank is Ateneo de Manila University with a 61.6 score.
In third and fourth for the country are the rest of the "Big 4" universities, De La Salle University in 178th place and University of Sto. Tomas in 184th place. Both universities fell from their previous spots of 163rd and 181st.

In the 2025 ranking, 25 Philippine schools made it in the QS Asia University rankings.
Meanwhile, the top 10 universities in Asia are the University of Hong Kong, Peking University, NTU Singapore, National University of Singapore, Fudan University, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, City University of Hong Kong, Chinese University of Hong Kong, Tsinghua University, and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
The QS Asia University rankings took into consideration indicators such as citations per paper, papers per faculty, employer reputation, faculty student ratio, staff with PhD, international faculty ratio, international research network, international student ratio, inbound exchange student indicator, and outbound exchange indicator.
