Another long weekend! Palace announces Dec. 26 a special non-working day

Our holiday just got better: Dec. 26 has been declared a special non-working day. This means you have an extra day to celebrate Christmas with family and friends and indulge in delicious food!

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. made the announcement on Dec. 12, saying it would "give the people the full opportunity to celebrate the holiday with their families and loved ones" and would "encourage" families to strengthen their bonds together.

He also added that a longer weekend will promote domestic tourism.

The next long weekend after that would be on Dec. 30 to Jan. 1 in celebration of the New Year.

No plans for Dec. 26 yet? Plan a visit with your family to Meralco's Liwanag Park in Mandaluyong to see the park's illuminating displays. There's also the newly reopened indoor amusement park, Fiesta Carnival in Araneta City, or Ayala Land's Festival of Lights at Ayala Triangle Gardens in Makati, where you can find immersive exhibits, bamboo bike rides, and more.
