Just got lucky: Woman wins lottery twice in one week
Someone just got her lucky break...
A woman won the lottery twice in just one week, bagging a total of $400,000 (over P23 million) just after scratching five lotto tickets.
According to the Delaware Lottery, the 70-year-old bettor from Newark first won $100,000 (almost P6 million) after scratching two tickets from the $100K Ultimate Cash Instant Game that she got from a gas station.
Just after claiming her prize from the headquarters, she decided to get her hands on three Serious Money tickets from a mart on her way home, where she scored $300,000 (over P17 million) in one of them.
“My best friend was the first person I told about winning the $100,000 top prize, and she came with me to claim it. When I scratched the $300,000 winning Serious Money ticket later in the day, we just sat there in disbelief,” she said.
The Delaware Lottery said the winner is looking to put a huge chunk of the six-figure money she won into her retirement fund. Sounds wise!
