Catch Alex Eala in action in New York: Here's where to watch the 2026 US Open

The US Open is set to begin!

Filipina tennis ace Alex Eala will compete in the fourth and final Grand Slam Event. She's expected to be a seeded player in the women's tournament and has been paired with Canada's Felix Auger-Aliassime for the mixed doubles.

The hardcourt tennis tournament opens on Aug. 23, 9:30 a.m. Eastern Time (9:30 p.m. Philippine time) at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center with the qualifying wildcard challenge. 

On Aug. 27, the Filipina will compete in the 2026 Stars of the Open exhibition against the US' Iva Jovic. 

Meanwhile, the main draw will be unveiled later in the week, as matches start during Week 2 on Aug. 30. The winner will take home a whopping $5.5 million (P339 million).

If you want to catch the matches to be held in New York, here's where you can watch them in the Philippines.

According to the US Open website, the games will be streamed via SPOTV and SPOTV Now.

The season pass is priced at P599 and will let you catch every match—from qualifiers to the grand final.

The plan includes 1080p full HD video and up to two devices for simultaneous streams on devices such as PC, mobile, tablet, and smart TV.

On Aug. 23, Eala was seen training at the Arthur Ashe Stadium in a video posted by the US Open on Instagram.

Eala, currently world no. 20, made history at the 2025 US Open when she became the first player from the Philippines to win a Grand Slam singles match after she defeated Clara Tauson

The 21-year-old Pinay's run ended after she fell to Cristina Bucşa in round 2.

Recently, the Filipina player competed in the Cincinnati Open, reaching the round of 32.

Earlier in August, she also played the Canadian Open and won her first WTA title at the Washington Open.
