UK heir to multi-million dollar fortune gets life sentence for killing best friend
The heir to a multi-million dollar pie company in the UK is set to serve life in prison for murdering his own best friend.
BBC News reported that Dylan Thomas, 24, stabbed his best friend, 23-year-old William Bush, 37 times with a kitchen knife and a flick knife on Christmas Eve in 2023.
The crime took place in the home they shared together.
Per the media outlet, Thomas pleaded guilty to manslaughter but denied murder. He had "looked up details of the anatomy of the neck in the hours before the attack in Llandaff, Cardiff."
According to BBC, Thomas is the grandson of Stanley Thomas. The latter made big money through their Wales-based company Peter's Pies, which he established with his brother.
Stanley was in court when his grandson's prison sentence was given.
BBC noted that Thomas is being treated for schizophrenia and psychosis.
