Marilyn Manson accused of horrific abuse by Evan Rachel Wood and other women

Rock singer Marilyn Manson has been accused by actress Evan Rachel Wood and four others of sexual abuse, which in some instances reportedly involves being brainwashed, tied up, forced to take drugs, and harming one’s self.

Wood, a Golden-Globe nominated star of the HBO hit series Westworld, named Manson in an Instagram post Monday, Feb. 1.

“The name of my abuser is Brian Warner, also known to the world as Marilyn Manson,” said Wood.

Wood’s relationship with Manson became public in Jan. 2007. The actress was supposedly the inspiration behind Manson’s song “Heart-Shaped Glasses.” They were engaged in Jan. 2010, and called it off seven months later.

In a 2016 Rolling Stone story, Wood said she met Manson when she was 18 and Manson was 36.

“He started grooming me when I was a teenager and horrifically abused me for years,” Wood said in her post. “I was brainwashed and manipulated into submission. I am done living in fear of retaliation, slander, or blackmail.”

Manson, whose real name is Brian Warner, is known for his controversial stage personality and over-the-top provocative stunts such as cutting himself, aiming fake guns, and even abusing fans.

“I am here to expose this dangerous man and call out the many industries that have enabled him, before he ruins any more lives,” said Wood. “I stand with the many victims who will no longer be silent.”

After Wood’s revelation, at least four other women also came out with allegations of abuse against Manson. These accounts were also shared by Wood on her Instagram stories.

A certain Sarah McNeilly, for one, said Manson physically and verbally broke her. “I was verbally berated for hours upon hours. Blamed for everything under the sun in order to make me feel worthless. Any male friends in my life were not allowed any longer,” Mc Neilly wrote on Instagram.

Manson has yet to respond to the allegations but he has previously denied accusations that he abuses women as mere rumors.
