LRT-2 to offer free rides, haircuts to women passengers in March

Attention, female commuters: Light Rail Transit (LRT) Line 2 is offering free rides and haircuts to women passengers in March in celebration of National Women’s Month.  

The Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) announced that all LRT-2 stations will offer free rides to women passengers on Saturday, March 8 during peak hours from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m., and in the afternoon to early evening from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. Simply go to the ticket booth to get the free tickets.  

Free haircuts are also being offered to the first 30 passengers on March 12 at Antipolo station as well as March 19 and 26 at Cubao station.

LRT-2 will also give out roses to women at Antipolo station or concourse level on March 5.

The offers are part of the "Serbisyo para kay Juana 2025" initiative of the PCW for Women’s Month. Other treats include free issuance of civil registration documents for the first 100 transacting women at Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) CRS outlets nationwide on March 3, 10, 17, and 24, as well as free admission to female visitors at The Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife Center on March 8.
