Colombia police draws laughs with 'most wanted' poster that only showed silhouettes, aliases
Police from Colombia became the subject of mockery after releasing a "most wanted" poster that only depicted the suspects' silhouettes and aliases.
W Radio Colombia reported that the San Marta Metropolitan Police asked citizens for information that could lead to the arrest of 12 hit men from the criminal organization "Los Pachenca."
"It is very important that citizens help us identify the people who are affecting life throughout the city," Deputy Commander Jorge Bernal is quoted as saying. "We need the collaboration of citizens to capture them."
But Colombians cannot help authorities when all the information they can work with are mere dark shapes and outlines of a person, much less their nicknames.
The San Marta Metropolitan Police has already deleted its poster, but Twitter users were able to take a screenshot and poke fun at it.
“First lead: they all look identical,” one user wrote.
Another user said one of the suspects in the poster looks just like the man who tried stealing their phone.
One, meanwhile, shared a photo of a silhouette "surrendering" to authorities, hands in the air.
