Miss Universe 2024 coronation night set for November 16 in Mexico
The Miss Universe Organization has announced the date for the 73rd edition of the pageant to be held in Mexico.
The Preliminary and National Costume portion of the competition will be held on November 14 while the Coronation Night is set for November 16 at the Arena CDMX.
A teaser shared by MUO said that around 130 beauty queens from different countries will be vying for the crown this year.
The 2024 pageant will also feature a "new show format" but other details have yet to be revealed.
This year will also be the first pageant to ditch the age limit for contestants after MUO announced the change in September 2023.
Sheynnis Palacios of Nicaragua is set to crown her successor in the 73rd edition of Miss Universe.
Bulacan's Chelsea Manalo will raise the Philippine flag at the upcoming pageant.
The Philippines has a total of four Miss Universe winners including Gloria Diaz in 1969, Margie Moran in 1973, Pia Wurtzbach in 2015, and Catriona Gray in 2018.
Mexico last hosted the pageant in 2007.
