Acclaimed filmmaker couple Jun Lana and Perci Intalan have called it quits after eights years of marriage and nearly two decades of being together.

"Hi guys. Perci and I have decided to part ways amicably," Lana wrote on his Twitter account on Dec. 10. "We wish each other well and will continue to be active co-parents for our children & business partners for our company."

He also requested for privacy as they "navigate this transition."

Intalan, meanwhile, has not spoken about the development on his social media accounts.

Intalan and Lana tied the knot in 2013 in New York, where same sex marriage is legal, after being together as a couple since 2003. They are also the parents to two boys.

In 2014, Lana and Intalan co-founded The IdeaFirst Company, a creative content company that produces movies and shows.

Their film collaborations include Bwakaw (2013), Die Beautiful (2016), The Write Moment (2017), Ang Dalawang Mrs. Reyes (2018), The Panti Sisters (2019), and Kalel, 15 (2019). They've also executive produced the award-winning boys' love web series Gameboys (2020).

Under Gameboys, Intalan and Lana under The IdeaFirst Company became the early champions in the Philippines of the boys' love genre that often goes by the acronym BL, which has now grown outside of its initial niche following in the country.
