Michelle Dee is the new Miss Universe Philippines!
The 28-year-old actress and model bested 37 other beauty queens at the recently concluded Miss Universe Philippines 2023 pageant held on May 13.
Aside from the coveted crown, Dee also bagged the Best in Evening Gown award, Face of Ponds, Miss Aqua, and Miss Zion awards.
Zambales' Christine Opiaza won second place, while Pampanga's Angelique Manto placed third.
Dee, who is also a Kapuso actress, is no stranger to the beauty pageant world. In 2019, she was crowned Miss World Philippines 2019 and represented the country in the international pageant. In 2022, she joined Miss Universe Philippines, where she was crowned Miss Universe Philippines Tourism 2022.
Dee is the daughter of former beauty queen Melanie Marquez, who won Miss International in 1979.
She will represent the Philippines in the international pageant later this year.
