Pokémon-shaped Cheeto sells for nearly $88,000 at auction

The viral “Cheetozard” with a customized Pokémon card was sold at a whopping price of nearly $88,000 at an American auction. 

According to People Magazine, the three-inch Flamin' Hot Cheeto shaped like Pokémon Charizard has been sold in just nearly a month for $87,840 (P5 million) with buyer’s premium at Goldin collectible marketplace.  

The rare collectible comes with a custom Pokémon card and is stored in a clear card storage box.  

It was put in the marketplace as one of the collectibles under its 2025 February Pop Culture Elite Auction and had an initial bid of $250 (more than P14,000) on Feb. 10. It had 60 bids before reaching the winning bid of $72,000 (P4 million) on March 2.

According to Goldin, the unique collectible was discovered and preserved around 2018 to 2022 by 1st & Goal Collectibles. In late 2024, the latter's video showcasing the collectibles went viral, amassing over half a million likes. The collection's popularity is also shared in the numerous dedicated X accounts.

“Cheetozard continues! We’ve had the Cheetozard for about 5 years now, and we totally forgot we had it until cleaning out the safe!” it captioned its post. 

Similar uniquely shaped Cheetos in the shape of Arnold Schwarzenegger, the Oogie Boogie figure from the film The Nightmare Before Christmas, and the Loch Ness Monster are also up on eBay.
