A number of notable personalities were present during the proclamation of president-elect Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. and vice president-elect Sara Duterte-Carpio, including members of the Marcos family, former president Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, TV host Toni Gonzaga, and more.

The UniTeam tandem was declared the next to sit at the country's two top posts on May 25 at the Batasang Pambansa after the Congress, sitting as the National Board of Canvassers, completed the final tally of votes.

The event was attended by members of the Senate and the House of Representatives as well as family members of Marcos Jr. and Duterte-Carpio. Here are other key personalities at the proclamation.

Imelda Marcos

Imelda Marcos, the mother of Marcos Jr. and former first lady to the late president Ferdinand Marcos Sr., entered the building in a wheelchair. She was absent throughout the UniTeam campaign but attended the proclamation. As her son was proclaimed, Imelda had to be escorted up to the rostrum.

Irene Marcos-Araneta

Aside from Senator Imee Marcos, Marcos Jr.'s other sister, Irene Marcos-Araneta attended the proclamation.

Liza Araneta-Marcos and Simon

Marcos Jr. not only had a former first lady at his side, but he also had his incoming first lady Liza Araneta-Marcos and son Simon in Batasang Pambansa. The two also went up the rostrum as the president-elect was declared.

Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo

Sitting beside Duterte-Carpio during the proclamation was former president Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo. The incoming Pampanga second district representative endorsed the UniTeam ticket during the election campaign season.

Toni Gonzaga and Paul Soriano

One of the biggest celebrity supporters of the Marcos-Duterte tandem, Toni Gonzaga was present during the proclamation. The TV host was accompanied by her husband, director Paul Soriano. Marcos Jr. was the couple's godfather during their wedding.
