The Bank of the Philippine Islands, through its institutional banking arm, staged its annual Lunar New Year celebration for its Chinese-Filipino clients based in the Visayas and Mindanao last Feb. 19 at the bai Hotel Cebu.

Themed after the Year of the Fire Horse—a symbol of movement, passion, and innovation—the event highlighted themes of momentum, strength, and new beginnings.

Guests were welcomed with a feng shui panel featuring the zodiac animals and engaging activities such as the Tree of Luck, Leap of Fortune, Unity Build, and the traditional Dice Game, setting an energetic and auspicious mood for the evening.

In his keynote address, BPI president and CEO TG Limcaoco looked back at the Bank’s partnership with businesses over the years, especially in the Visayas and Mindanao.

“This year carries even deeper meaning for us at BPI. On August 1, we will celebrate 175 years of service. For nearly two centuries, BPI has stood alongside Filipino businesses and families—through growth cycles, transitions, and transformations. We have grown with the nation, supporting enterprises as they modernize, expand, and pass on value across generations,” he said.

Limcaoco also reaffirmed BPI’s steadfast commitment to supporting clients’ business growth.
