The internet is abuzz today, April 1, as brands and companies unleash their annual dose of silliness in celebration of April Fools' Day.

From outrageous product launches to unbelievable service announcements, brace yourselves for a day filled with hilarious hoaxes. We've compiled some of the most creative pranks doing the rounds, so buckle up and get ready for some laughs.

7-Eleven

Broken-hearted? 7-Eleven has a solution for that featuring their "new" Sangria- and Mojito-flavored Slurpees.

"Isang Slurp, sabay sabing 'Ginawa ko naman ang lahaaat!' Kasiyahan lang bawal iyakan kasama ang Slurpee with Alak – ang ating bagong pampalamig na gumuguhit!" they wrote.

The only thing is, they added the hashtags #AprilFoolsDay #BawalSeryosohin #BawalUnliRefilll.

Yes FM Manila

Yes FM Manila’s April Fools post garnered a variety of reactions on Facebook. In the post, the radio station supposedly released an official statement, announcing the temporary shutdown of “101.1 Yes! FM Manila.”

The announcement seemed real until it read towards the end, “Happy April Fool’s Day!”

Avid listeners and staff of the radio station itself took the jokes to its comment section.

DONUT worry

DONUT worry, a donut business with several stores nationwide, posted a rather unappetizing “breaking news.”

In a Facebook post, DONUT worry announced that their “cheesy milky donuts” will be phased out “due to increased cost of baking ingredients.”

What a relief it was to customers to read “Of course this is a joke - It’s April [F]ools [D]ay after all” at the end of the caption.

Xymbolic PH

The “brand for gamers'' also played the April Fool’s Day card. Xymbolic PH promoted a truly innovative shower option, “Wireless Shower Head'' to shower “anywhere and whenever you want.” You can even “add flavor and shampoo” with their Smart Home App!

"Discount included for the first-timers taking a shower this April," they wrote.

UE Dawn

The official publication of the University of the East (UE) posted a subtle announcement hinting a certain “UE star player turned Fighting Maroon to return to UE.”

The post was possibly referring to Rey Remogat who transferred from the UE Red Warriors to the UP Fighting Maroons in January 2024.

Sunlight Air

Do you often get sick on flights? Sunlight Air has got you covered! The local airline company boasted an innovative approach to aid passengers who get airsick: the “revolutionary air sickness bags: now TRANSPARENT!” These clear, leak-proof, and sturdy bags are “tougher than turbulent tummy troubles!”

Love Radio Manila

On March 31 at 8:00 p.m., Love Radio Manila posted “Liham mula kay Chris Tsuper,” insinuating that one of its hosts, “Kambyo King” Chris Tsuper, will be leaving the show. This was a piece of bitter news for their avid listeners and viewers until the radio show revealed “Izza prank!” at 2:13 p.m. the following day.
