Are you a fan of the lovable pop icon Hello Kitty?
The Peninsula Manila is taking things to a new level with a Hello Kitty-themed Afternoon Tea at The Lobby to celebrate the cartoon character's 50th anniversary.
The hotel's Head Pastry Chef, Annalyn Solano, and her team prepared an "irresistibly sweet and savory" Hello Kitty-inspired Afternoon Tea using fresh seasonal fruits and ingredients.
These include Strawberry Financiers and Strawberry and Rose Tea Sandwich Cookies inspired by Hello Kitty's signature red bow.
The tea set also features Instagram-worthy culinary art creations paired with the most adorable plush toys.
The Lobby's Hello Kitty Afternoon Tea is priced at P5,000 (with a pot of tea) and P7,000 (with two flutes of Champagne) which comes with a Hello Kitty and The Peninsula Bear limited-edition plush toy set.
The event is available daily starting Monday, April 15, until Wednesday, May 15, from 2:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Hello Kitty was first created in 1974 and is turning a half-century old on November 1. The brand has remained popular with the character being worth about $8 billion when it celebrated its 40th anniversary.
Historically, this lovable pop icon was born as an "itty-bitty" purse. As time passed, Hello Kitty became a lovable logo on every girl's items, including bags, wallets, wallpapers, and drinking cups, among others.
