It's time to rejoice, pyro lovers, as the Philippine International Pyromusical Competition is finally making its comeback after a four-year hiatus.

The annual competition among fireworks manufacturers announced its return on its Facebook page, detailing that the "biggest lights and music show" will be held on several dates from May to June.

"The long wait is finally over! Get ready to be dazzled as the Philippine International Pyromusical Competition lights up the skies on May 11, 18, 25, June 1, and 8, 2024!" the announcement read.

Details on the participating countries, ticket sales, and other information have yet to be revealed.

Many social media users expressed their excitement for the 11th edition of the event. The pyromusical competition was hindered since 2020 due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The last one was held in 2019 at the SM City Clark starting Feb. 23 to March 30, with the participants coming from Belgium, Portugal, Germany, France, Finland, Italy, the United Kingdom, China, Canada, and Poland.

The Polaris Fireworks group from China was hailed as the winner of the said event.

Initially known as the World Pyro Olympics, the Philippine International Pyromusical Competition typically runs for several weeks and has two countries exhibiting their fireworks show each day. The host of the event does not participate in the competition but performs a fireworks display on the last night.
