Starbucks to rollout new app, revamped rewards program
Here's something Starbucks fans and coffee lovers should now: The coffee chain is rolling out a revamped rewards program and a new mobile app.
These latest updates will give customers more options for redeeming perks and customizing their experience.
Beginning July 21, members of Starbucks Rewards can access the all-new Starbucks PH App, which introduces a multi-tiered rewards system that allows users to redeem Stars starting at just 50 points.
Under the updated program, members will no longer have their 100 Stars automatically converted into vouchers for a free drink, bakery item, or slice of cake. Instead, customers can choose when and how they want to use their Stars across different reward levels.
Under the new system, 50 Stars lets you personalize your favorite drink for free (excluding breve and 2 oz heavy cream). If you're craving something sweet, you can also treat yourself to a classic like a bagel, doughnut, or slice of banana loaf under this tier.
With 100 Stars, you can get a handcrafted beverage (excluding Coffee Traveler Kit, French Press, or Reserve Ice Cream beverages) or a bakery item.
Lastly 150 Stars lets tou score pastas, sandwiches, or a decadent slice of cake.
The new Starbucks PH App will also feature faster sign-ins and real-time Star tracking to make transactions more convenient.
Existing account credentials, load balances, and accumulated Stars will automatically transfer to the new app. Reward vouchers will continue to be valid for 90 days, with the countdown beginning only after customers redeem their Stars.
The updated Starbucks Rewards program and app will be available in all Starbucks branches nationwide starting July 21.
