Halloween weekend is creeping in, but Metro Manila’s calendar is anything but spooky.
If you’re down for art fests, indie soundscapes, theater runs, and costume parties, this week’s lineup offers an eclectic, vibrant spread of events.

Oct. 24-26: Life ’n Arts Festival 2025

Life ’n Arts Festival 2025 is calling all creatives to the biggest celebration of artistry, community, and culture in the South. From cosplay parades to crochet workshops, this three-day fest is packed with hands-on experiences, live showcases, and open calls for talent.
The festival is hosting a series of competitions open to the public. Transform and perform in the Cosplay Parade and Competition, paint your vision in the Battle of the Canvas, or let your furry friend strut their stuff in the Pet PAWshion Show. Storytellers and visual artists can also join the Short Film Competition and Photography Competition to showcase their creative lens.
Meanwhile, the festival’s workshops offer a chance to learn, connect, and create.
Join the Art Talk for inspiring conversations with fellow creatives, try your hand at the Crochet Workshop (no experience needed), or mold your masterpiece at the Pottery Workshop.
Oct. 24-26: Bar Boys: The Musical

This weekend, catch the all-new staging of Bar Boys: The Musical, directed by Mikko Angeles, choreographed by Jomelle Era, and musical directed by Myke Salomon.
Follow Erik, Chris, Torran, and Josh as they chase their dream of becoming lawyers, only to have their ambition and friendship tested by the harsh realities of life and law school.
The original cast—Benedix Ramos, Alex Diaz, Jerom Canlas, Omar Uddin, and Sheila Francisco—will reprise their roles at Hyundai Hall, Areté, with shows running from Oct. 24 to 26 and Nov. 7 to 23.

Oct. 24: SAN MAY MUMU? Halloween Gig

Kailan Saan and Musubi Productions are turning Kowloon into a haunted gig haven with SAN MAY MUMU?, a Halloween-themed OPM showcase featuring SUYEN, One Click Straight, Imago, fitterkarma, SHANNi, Gio Caindec, and Chinese Garden.

Oct. 24: Let Them Cook: Techno Tea Time

Let Them Cook returns with a caffeine-fueled techno rave at Go See Coffee Club in Quezon City. Featuring DJ sets by ackai, D88BS, Hannah, luxmain, and Normie Joe, this late-night party blends beats and brews in true underground fashion.

Oct. 25: Dept's "Dream Age Tour in Manila"

South Korean indie singer-producer Dept is set to perform in Manila on Oct. 25, as part of his ongoing “Dream Age Tour.” The concert will be held at The Tiny Bar in Quezon City, marking Dept’s first live appearance in the Philippines.
Known for his soulful vocals and atmospheric sound, Dept will perform tracks from his latest album Hangang II, released earlier this month. The Manila leg is the fourth stop of the tour, which will continue to Hong Kong and Tokyo in the coming weeks.

Oct. 25: Ayala Museum's Guni-Guni: Free Admission Day
Free museum visit? Why not! To close Museums and Galleries Month, Ayala Museum is offering guests a chance to explore its collections for free for one day only.
On Oct. 25, take a deep dive into the fascinating world of Filipino folklore and mythology and rediscover the enduring magic of our national heritage.
Apart from this, guests can join special activities. From 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., there will be a mini art workshop, eye-spy activities, live painting, storytelling for kids, themed tours, curated playlists from the Filipinas Heritage Library, and more.
Then the museum will close from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. to prepare for the evening’s Folklore Trail, a mission-style adventure across the galleries where you’ll face challenges and encounter creatures from Filipino folktales.
Activities resume at 7 p.m. until 9 p.m., where guests can visit the galleries in the evening or join the Folklore Trail. Limited slots for this activity are available.
Those who come in their best Filipino folklore-inspired costumes can get a chance to win a surprise.

Oct. 25-26: Alice in Wonderland

Repertory Philippines’ Theater for Young Audiences brings Lewis Carroll’s beloved tale to life in a musical adaptation of Alice in Wonderland, running from Aug. 23 to Dec. 14 at the REP Eastwood Theater in Quezon City.
With music and lyrics by Janet Yates Vogt and Mark Friedman, the production features all the iconic characters, including Reese De La Vega Iso, Justine Narciso, and Cheska Quimno as Alice; Cara Barredo, Pinky Marquez, and Mayen Bustamante-Cadd as the Queen of Hearts; Hans Eckstein and Gerhard Krysstopher as the Mad Hatter; and Steven Hotchkiss and Gabo Tiongson as the White Rabbit. The show is co-directed by Cara Barredo and REP founder Joy Virata.

Oct. 26: Garmin Run Asia 2025

Garmin Run Asia Series returns to Filinvest, Alabang, this Oct. 26 for its second year in the Philippines.
Organized by Hyvesport PH, the event builds on the momentum of its 2024 debut and is part of a regional celebration of fitness across six major Asian cities that has drawn over 20,000 runners from Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Taipei, and now Manila.
Open to runners of all levels, Garmin Run 2025 offers 5K, 10K, and 21K categories. Registration fees are P1,550 for 5K (sold out), P1,850 for 10K, and P2,550 for 21K.
