LIST: 40 Pinoys who made it to this year's Tatler Asia's 'Gen.T List'

A total of 40 entrepreneurs, leaders, and creatives from the Philippines made it in this year’s Tatler Asia’s Gen.T list. 

According to the website, the annual list recognizes “Leaders of Tomorrow” who make a positive impact in the region across categories such as entertainment, food and beverage, technology, finance and sustainability, and healthcare among others. All in all, 300 leaders around Asia were named.

Honorees are selected based on varying metrics, but the lifestyle magazine also considers their achievements in the last 18 months—looking at the growth of the business, fundraising success, increased geography of impact, new products or services that are making significant waves in the industry, and more.  

It took Tatler Asia seven months in the making, sifting all nominees from eight countries and territories across Asia: the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Taiwan, and Mainland China.

This year, 40 leaders and changemakers from the Philippines made it on the list, including Drag Race Philippines (season 1) winner Precious Paula Nicole, race car driver Bianca Bustamante who recently made history as the first Filipina F1 Academy winner, Angat Buhay Executive Director Raffy Magno, MK Bertulfo who empowers stay-at-home moms by helping them get a remote work suitable for their needs, and Careless Founder Jeffrey Oh. 

Horror filmmaker Kenneth Dagatan is also included in the list. He recently made history with his horror film, In My Mother’s Skin as the only non-English language and the first Philippine horror film under the Midnight section of this year’s Sundance Film Festival. 

Also included in the list is Aaron Villegas, maker of the Lista app that helps small businesses gain financial independence. He also recently made it to Forbes’ “30 under 30 Asia” list. Shipmates co-founder Josh Supan is also among the 40, while his co-founder David Marquez made it to the Forbes list.
