Canva users report errors uploading photos and videos on July 2
Did you have trouble uploading your file to Canva? You're not alone.
Canva, the web-based graphic design platform used for creating presentations, social media posts, and other visual content, appears to have experienced technical issues in various parts of the world, including the Philippines.
Downdetector's outage graph showed user reports peaking at 4:43 p.m., when 73 reports were logged. By 5:28 p.m., the number had declined to 30, although some users continued to report issues.
In a status update posted at 5:10 p.m. PH Time on July 2, Canva said users may experience errors uploading media to their designs. At 5:12 p.m. the company said it was continuing to investigate the issue.
Many users turned to social media to report the issue and check whether others were experiencing the same problem.
"[Canva] are your servers down? Just wondering why I can’t upload a photo [to] a document," an X user wrote.
"[Canva] is down. Not able to upload any file. Tried with multiple accounts," another one posted.
Canva acknowledged the issue in a social media reply, noting that it had "hit a little bump in the road" but that its team was actively working on a fix.
"Please don't worry—our team is already working its magic behind the scenes to fix things!" the company wrote.
The issue was successfully resolved by 7 p.m. that same day.
