LIST: 'Green Bones,' 'Isang Himala,' and other films that won big at the MMFF 2024 awards night
The 2024 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) Gabi ng Parangal ended with the drama film Green Bones bagging several big awards, including the coveted Best Picture title.
Centering on a prison guard and an inmate whose fates intertwine, Green Bones took home the award for Best Picture, Best Screenplay, and Best Cinematography.
Some of its cast members were also recognized for their stellar performances, with Dennis Trillo winning Best Actor, Ruru Madrid for Best Supporting Actor, and Sienna Stevens for Best Child Performer.
In his speech, Trillo congratulated the crowd and highlighted that every one of them was a winner for being a part of the MMFF.
For the Best Actress category, the honor went to Judy Ann Santos for her role in the supernatural horror film Espantaho.
"Ang sarap sa pakiramdam," Santos said in her speech as she received the award.
