Pampanga beauty queen reported missing along with boyfriend
Mutya ng Pilipinas Pampanga 2023 candidate Geneva Lopez has been reported missing along with her Israeli boyfriend Yitshak Cohen since June 21, according to the Angeles City police office.
As reported by TV Patrol, Lopez, 27, and Cohen, 37, were taking up residence in Barangay Malabanias in Angeles City.
The beauty queen had told her relatives that they were going to Capas, Tarlac to meet up with someone who they had a property transaction with in 2021.
A report from Rappler detailed that a certain Michael Angelo Guiang was the person who had discussed with them about the property.
Since Friday afternoon, relatives and friends have been unable to make contact with the two.
Lopez's relatives also informed authorities regarding a burned vehicle that was abandoned in the area of Capas. Upon investigation, it was found that the vehicle was reportedly driven by Cohen and had been in flames at around 2:43 a.m.
Recovered from the scene are partially burned documents that had Lopez's name on them.
Angeles City police chief Colonel Amado Mendoza told the news outlet that they are now reviewing CCTV footage around the area for possible leads.
"We are backtracking the CCTV footage. And whatever footage we get, we can enhance them to see the occupants," Mendoza said.
