Nadine Lustre asks public to 'normalize girls having guy friends,' 'normalize guys having girl friends'

For Nadine Lustre, there is no problem for guys having female friends and vice versa.

"normalize girls having guy friends," Lustre wrote on X (formerly Twitter) on Aug. 20. "normalize guys having girl friends."

Lustre's tweet came on the heels of an anonymous netizen's claim that they supposedly spotted her boyfriend, businessman Christophe Bariou, spending time with another woman.

In Bariou's Instagram post about plant-based cream cheese on Aug. 16, the netizen commented that someone from Siargao told them that he was hanging out with another woman using Lustre's jeep.

"You've been always with her surfing, eating and skating, we just wondering why you always spend time with her while Nadine is in Manila," the netizen claimed. "We just hope di mo niloloko si Nadine mataas pa naman respeto namin sa ito."

Lustre caught wind of the comment, replying to it herself with, "stop acting like you're concerned. You're just another hater tryna create drama. 2023 na, gawa nalang tayong vegan cheese."

In another tweet, Lustre called out individuals who are supposedly her "fans" yet call her "tanga" in their group chats "just cause they think they can live my life better than I can."

"also the same people that send chismis to others. grateful the real ones never engage with their bs tbh," she said.

"also pls don’t come at me with your self-righteous + condescending lecture if you believe in chismis. It’s toxic af," she added in another tweet.

Lustre and Bariou became Instagram official in January 2022. They first sparked dating rumors in August 2021 after being spotted together in Siargao, where Nadine had been staying.
