Is Normani dropping her solo album soon? Her Instagram hints at new music
It looks like all signs point to the former Fifth Harmony member’s long-awaited solo album being released soon.
Normani seems to be gearing up for her “long-time coming” solo album, as she dropped major hints on her Instagram page.
Fans and media spotted on Tuesday, July 13, that the 25-year-old singer archived all her Instagram posts except for one short video she posted last Valentines’ Day, where she was seen basking under the sun in her golden bikini while an unreleased track of her, rumored to be called Wild Side, plays in the background.
Since fans found out about Normani’s Instagram wipe, the singer has been trending on Twitter, and is currently 13th on the Worldwide Trends as of writing.

The former Fifth Harmony member had her first solo single, Motivation, in 2019, and has collaborated with artists like Sam Smith in Dancing with a Stranger, and Megan Thee Stallion in Diamonds.
In an interview with Women’s Health last November 2020, the singer describes her debut solo album to be “empowering” genre-bending tunes with a pop sensibility.
She also shared in a May interview with W Magazine that she gravitates towards eerier and darker sounds, and while she came from a pop girl group and grew up listening to ‘90S R&B, working on her solo album gave her more opportunity to play with the types of songs she likes.
“I’m not always as bubblegum as Motivation was, or as bubblegum as how people have perceived me to be from looking at that music video. So just imagine the flip side of that. It’s still going to be palatable for a wide audience. Nobody is going to feel left out,” she said.
Normani is coming! Are you excited?
