Dwayne Johnson's 74-year-old mother survives car accident
The mother of American wrestler-actor Dwayne Johnson got into a car accident and is now recovering.
Dwayne on Instagram posted a photo of a red car with a heavy damage on the right side.
"Angels of mercy watched over my mom as she was in a car crash late last night," the 50-year-old said of his mother Ata, 74. "She’ll survive and continue to get evaluated."
Dwayne, also known as The Rock, noted how his mother has "survived lung cancer, tough marriage, head on collision with a drunk driver and attempted suicide."
"She’s a survivor, in ways that make angels and miracles real," he said.
Noting he only got one parent left, Dwayne urged followers to hug their moms and dads hard, "cos you never know when you’ll get that 3am call we never want to get."
In June 2022, Dwayne surprised his mom with a new home, which he remodeled for eight weeks together with his team.
"I’ve been lucky enough to have bought her a few homes over the years, but this one is special as she’s told me over and over these past few years, 'After a lifetime of traveling, I want this home to be my last. Thats my dream,'" he wrote on Instagram.
"Mom, there’s no greater feeling than to make you happy ~ welcome home," he added.
